Elmar Safaraliev invites jazz fans to MMT Helikon-Opera, where he will perform with his jazz trio (Sergey Kifak - percussion, Vyacheslav Antonets - bass). The program includes classical jazz, jazz arrangements of popular melodies and author compositions by Elmar Safaraliyev.

JAZZ Trio

In 2016, Elmar Safaraliev founded the jazz trio with brilliant musicians, each of whom performs with solo numbers. As a part of group the bass guitarist - Vyacheslav Antonets and the drummer - Sergey Kifak. At the trio's concerts, real classical jazz, music by Tchaikovsky, Bizet, Borodin in jazz transcriptions, as well as compositions by Elmar itself sound. The Elmar Trio successfully performs at the leading sites of the capital and other cities.

ELMAR Safaraliev

A magnificent jazz musician, the brilliant pianist virtuoso having classical school of a piano in a basis. Elmar graduated from the specialty school, the conservatory and graduate school in Moscow, and studied piano at Mikhail Pletnev. He is the author of the compositions of his own works and master of the arrangement of classic masterpieces of different times.

Elmar was born in the second half of the 60th years, and underwent profile training at first in Music School at capital Conservatory, then studied already in the Higher Education Institution where subsequently completed also postgraduate studies. Despite education in a genre of "immortal classics", the musician since young years prefers to play on the performances only jazz, but with a big share of modern processings and improvisations, directly during the solo concerts and joint representations with other stars of this musical style.

It should be noted that in the homeland Elmar Safaraliyev became famous rather recently as initially worked and lived in the different countries in which went on tour in process of development of the creative career. Germany, Turkey, Switzerland, Spain – and it is not all list where the musician is still recognized, and his representations are remembered with great delight.

Moscow Musical Theater «Helikon-Opera» launched a new project – #Jazzcafe.

It is known, «Helikon» was born in the house on Big Nikitskaya, 19 (the former Herzen Street) where there was a House of health workers earlier. In the 70th years of the twentieth century his head Alexander Semyonovich Bertman gave jazz parties, invited the famous bards, in the 80th one of the first in the USSR the legendary "hot" jazz club "All Stars" best in those days opened here. There were all the stars of Soviet jazz, and the atmosphere was creative and relaxed. Helikon people decided to revive this wonderful tradition: from now on, the Prokofiev cafe, located on the first floor of the theater, will host jazz evenings with the participation of well-known musicians and soloists «Helikon-Opera».

Everyone who crosses the threshold of our theater, immediately gets into a special atmosphere: love for music, love for creativity, love for the audience reign here. And the absolutely logical step was that the theater decided to fill "Prokofiev" cafe with music, this is an ideal place for those who after the performance would like to spend a pleasant evening in the company of friends at a table and listen to beautiful jazz music with a glass of collection wine. By the way, the project assumes participation in it of partners of the theater who, within the framework of jazz evenings, will conduct tasting of exquisite "jazz-style" dishes.

«We have already organized and spent several jazz evenings in the Belokolonny Hall of Princess Shakhovskaya, and realized that they are very popular with the public, – commented on the Deputy Director General for production work Edward Musakhanyants. – This is a kind of experiment for the theater: we want all our premises to be connected with creativity. For the musical content of the cafe, quality jazz fits perfectly. We prepared a special offer for our viewers in the “after the performance” format, so that anyone after the performance could continue Sunday evening in the cozy atmosphere of the "Prokofyev" cafe. It will be a real celebration of taste, but in the "style of jazz".

In the new season, only live music will be played in the Prokofiev Cafe, both instrumental jazz and vocal compositions. Well-known jazz musicians pianist Elmar Safaraliyev, Georgian singer Tamta Tskhvitava and the singer of "Helikon" Maria Maskhulia have already confirmed their participation in the project. Every time the audience will enjoy the new program.
